An emergency blip at the end of a long Thursday: the inside cover of my latest book “Desperate Women” set on a ship transporting female convicts to Australia.

The quietest time today was on the field at lunchtime with the Y11s which is saying something. Good to get outside and have a few conversations. We’ve done our last day of testing today so it will be good to get everyone back to their actual jobs. It’ll be even better to get to the end of Friday.
