LUCKY

Today's challenge:~~ Lucky: Take a photo of something that you use for luck, or something that makes you feel lucky. Or how ever you want to interpret luck.

So here we have two things which I keep to bring me luck.

One is a LUCKY BEAN. I bought it many years ago - from a market stall in Cardiff of all places. It came with a leaflet which has the following info " Sea beans or " lucky " beans grow in pods mainly along the banks of the Amazon river in South America. They burst and drop their beans into the river which carries them to the sea where they become polished by the salt water. They are washed up on beaches, collected and used as lucky charms."

The other is my LUCKY AMERICAN CENT. When I was in Washington DC in August 2000 our tour guide told us that if you touched the steps of The Lincoln Memorial with a cent then the coin would become lucky. So the whole coach load of tourists proceeded to get out their cents and touch the steps.

No idea if these 2 items have brought me any luck - no big lottery wins for me - but I sometimes win the odd prize from competitions I have entered. In fact the material the lucky items are resting on was a prize I received a couple of weeks ago. And last week I won a book. So maybe a little bit of luck has been coming my way.

Today it has been dull and chilly. I had an appointment with the Nurse for a blood test - to check on my Vit D levels. After the appointment I did a bit of top up shopping and got a lottery ticket. I always keep my lottery ticket in a plastic bag together with my lucky bean and my lucky coin. Maybe this week they will work their magic.
