Hanging a swift box

C our friend and side hustle handyman came over to hang up the swift box. Lot of reading as to where they’d most like and this is the spot.  I have my doubts. We have also hung a house martin cup on the house eaves. They seem to be the least picky.  I have a swallow cup but they are more tricky as they have to be inside/outside access. We have a hole in our barn but it’s on the north facing side and there is an old wasp nest there (at least I hope it’s old)  so when i put a south facing window in the office part of the barn we are going to get a hole for a swallow in the int/ext part of the barn below.  Fingers crossed for the flutter of tiny wings!
