The Delta

The river forks and
twines as it moves to join the
quiet lake water

There was a suggestion of rain in our forecast but that has not come to pass. I ventured out at lunch time with some thought of a photograph along the river. I drove up to the first landing on the Red Lake Road past Tranquille. From this vantage point I can see where the Thompson River merges with Kamloops Lake. Water levels are low in the river and the lake. There's not much green to be enjoyed yet. Muddy patches have dried considerably leaving the wind to blow up dust at every opportunity. Late winter is the least attractive time of the year to me. I am missing colour,warmth and variety.
