Forest ride

Along one of the horse rides in Epping Forest today. It was beautiful in the sunshine. We pedaled up beyond Epping for a cuppa. I was very naughty and had a bacon sandwich. The first one for about a month so I didn’t feel too guilty.

This afternoon the Gold Cup at Cheltenham was a must watch. Rachel Blackmore so nearly did it. But it was a great race, and a brilliant 4 days of racing. So well organized in the circumstances. I love watching so many races over the week. Each one full of the best horses, all trying to win. None of them there just to make up the numbers.

After that a walk along two fairways of the golf course. Another part of the Forest on the doorstep. Watched Grayson on TV this evening. I find his style is so humane. No patronising, just accepting people as they are.
