Happy Friday

It’s been an up and down week. I was served my notice of redundancy having been in consultation for a couple of months. It has started to feel real now and my job hunt is ramping up. I have some possibilities so am feeling positive (most of the time).

I hadn’t been out for a walk the last few days so was glad to see the sun today and I had a brisk walk before dinner. It was colder than it looked!

My Mum reminded me it’s my son’s half birthday today - a tradition we honoured when I was growing up that we continued for our kids - so we had some cake and embarrassed him! It might be the last one as he turns 18 in 6 months so maybe he’ll be too grown up for it! But then again, who doesn’t like cake ??
