I don't know what this hedging plant is. It has always been around, a bit less common than privet, and I can remember collecting good caterpillars from it when I was a lot younger.
The extras are two shots taken in St James's Park in September 2018, a rare example of BIF from me.
This shows that the pelicans have not had their wings cropped and there is nothing keeping them on their island except large amounts of fish fed daily.
