Soaking Day!

The grandchildren were awake early and raring to go. But it rained on and  off all day...sometimes a deluge, sometimes the sun would peek out just long enough to excite us...then hail. But we had a fun day nonetheless, building a boat out of a cardboard box and playing all sorts of games and  drawing and so forth.

I took them home mid-afternoon, thinking I'd missed the deluge, only to drive through a monstrous hail storm - so much hail it looked like snow! When I got home, during another sun break I dashed out to the soaking wet garden and found this poor very wet Pusatilla vulgaris or Pasque Flower, looking, well, wet.
