Massive waves.........

....on a high tide made for some spectacular surf at Yallingup this morning. 

Before we went to Yallingup, we went to Smiths Beach for a walk and a swim. Well, we had the walk but there was no way we were getting in that water! We are far too old and nowhere strong enough any more - sad that. The waves were crashing and covering all the sand. There was literally no beach left.

So off around the corner to Yallingup to see if there was any action. The beach was closed because a stand up paddler had his board bitten by a shark there yesterday afternoon. Well, the signs said "closed" but there were plenty of surfers out there! I liked this guy popping out of the tube.

I have added two more images of the beach at Smiths, just to show how far the waves went up the sand and just how powerful they were. Awesome :-)
