Halifax 1956

My mother's sister and husband had immigrated to Canada before us. My uncle met us at Pier 21. Somehow he was able to be close enough to make photographs of our arrival. He was an avid photographer.

Upon arrival we stayed with my uncle and aunt. Shortly there after we rented a two room house in Armdale. My father made a sign for the house, Grietje, my mother's name.
