Sunday Sundae
What a beautiful Sunday we’ve had. We attended Mass last night so our morning was open. Oh my. If you have not had Mrs. Moo’s pecan pie sundae you are missing a key life experience. We took our granddaughter to meet her ride to the dance competition and decided to take a drive. They still limit attendance to 1 ticket per family; maybe we’ll get to her competitions later in the season. Anyway, this dessert has homemade pecan pie, three scoops of homemade butter pecan ice cream covered in candied pecans, caramel sauce and homemade whipped cream. They add a pecan brownie wedge for good measure. We shared (a must) but I will not be measuring my waist after that indulgence. What a fun Sunday lunch. Now for a leisurely drive around Calvert Co. We will attend evening Mass and the first night of our parish Lenten four-day mission. The speaker, Meg Hunter-Kilmer, will go in depth on the mysteries of the Rosary. It’s nice to attend events in person again. Life is too short to miss out on the occasional splurge. Go for it! Thanks for your visits, notes and stars.
