View from the front.
This is the front of local Parish Church. I love the way that progress (the NEC projection!) sits with the font in the foreground gifted to the Church in the late 1300's by Queen Consort Anabella Drummond, wife of King Robert 3rd, and mother of James 1st of Scotland.
The font was buried during the reformation, and was forgotten, only to be found many years later during renovation works to the tower. It was only when the font was uncovered that the parishioners realized that the carved stonework pedestal lying in the church yard was the base of the font. If you look closely you will see the base of the font is very weathered.
