Woodpecker

Well I have been out for about 4 hours today !! the longest for over a year. I went to Harsholme park in Lincoln that has a lot of water fowl on it an an island with nesting herons. 
But the word on the street  was that the red Arrows were going to be flying a 9 up in formation today and across the lake does give a good view with a decent lens, so in the end only 7 up ! 
So I went and looked around the woods for Tree creepers did not see any , but then just spotted the woodpecker a massive crop but at least a picture was grabbed :-) Went to look at a wood pile where lizards and grass snakes reside, but there was a frost this morning so it really had not warmed up enough for them to come out and bask .
