Blossom

Even the word conjures joy,
contentment and hope.
It celebrates triumph and health.

Flowers will wither and go to seed,
but blossom bears fruit
in ravishing freedom and wealth.

I'm not sure that this pink blossom does bear fruit, except in terms of the spiritual kind, which is what my poem is about. It is certainly uplifting to see blossom, suddenly everywhere.
