Holly House

Our 'ol friend passed away years ago. Hurricane Isabelle 2003 flooded her home. 3 1/2 feet of saltwater left it's toll. She had passed away before it happened thankfully. I know it would have broken her heart. We had to go in today for her son. The carpet was  removed and the wet sheetrock cut out right after the water receded. Nothing else has been done since. I guess the family decided it was not worth repairing since it is built so low to the ground and flooding could easily happen again. So hard to see all her furniture and belongings sitting there ruined from the water. This cast iron gnome and door stop ( see extra) caught my eye.  I hope she is in a happy place now where earthly things have no value.
