Petroglyphs
Petroglyphs are etchings in basalt (volcanic stone) made centuries ago.
Today, I went hiking in the Petroglyph National Monument, which preserves and protects over 15,000 rock images etched into stone by Puebloans, early Hispanic settlers and some punk with a sharp implement.
The day was warm, about 60F and very windy, gusts approaching 50mph.
