Moorhen

Just had a quick trip to the park today in between work and Zoom meetings. It was a fairly uninspiring day, breezy and chilly. The swan is well ensconced on the nest and keeping the head down - don’t know if there are any eggs yet, as she wasn’t budging. The coots look like they are preparing a nest in the middle of the pond too, so that’s something else to watch. The baby coots were quite an entertainment last year.
