A quiet night on the canal

To my amazement some friends of ours who have rented a narrowboat since last October (what a time to choose not to be at home where it feels warm and safe and swap life onto a boat through the winter and a pandemic.. brrr!) were only half an hour away from us.  We could not resist a quick visit.. we took a thermos of tea and sat having a chat with them on the towpath watching the sun set.  It did get a bit chilly but it was the first time we had done anything so exciting for almost 6 months!!  Still thawing out!
