Swamp area

During our walk we came across a large swamp area in the forest.
That is the top panorama photo I took and the one on the left is close by.
Before we left the forest we came across an inland lake.
I don't know if you say in English that's a lake.
Maybe there is another word for that. My english is not perfect haha. I didn't have great English at school.
