Birthday Ring

Today is my birthday. Went to dinner this evening with my family and one of my gifts was this ring. This belonged to my maternal grandmother. I remember her wearing it. I was a child when she passed away, 50 years ago.
My aunt has had it in her possession all this time and decided to give it to me. What a wonderful gift! I've coveted this ring for years. So much so that I saw a similar one at a flea market and bought it for myself over 25 years ago. Not the same though. The stone in this is carnelian, with a tiny diamond in the center. Not an expensive ring, but a great memento to cherish.

Hopefully I will be posting more soon. I've been a slacker for sure! I did renew my membership so, no excuses!
