Sowing seeds

Went to the garden centre today (essential shopping? I’m not sure). Bought lots of seeds, some seed potatoes and a rhubarb plant (which I’ve never grown before), a couple of plants and pots. Paul then got to work (on the new potting bench, an Aldi special) sowing cosmos and rudbeckia, which did us so well last year. Now the wait for the first seedlings to appear!

It really hit me today that it’s been almost a year since the first lockdown. A whole year! I think it was sowing seeds all over again, and I’m wondering if I have enough energy this year to go through it all again. I’m sure I will, with Paul’s help, but sowing seeds will forever be associated with lockdowns. On we go, what else can we do!
