Reflections

Disturbed night, waking at intervals although soon getting back to sleep as stuff was playing on my mind. I got up early to stop mithering about it and plan out how to present the response to a proposal during a meeting of exec. Luckily I plumped for an approach that worked and felt mightily relieved.
Brief break over lunch but again a chilly grey day so I didn’t get out for a walk but instead tried to work on computer problems....for some reason my phone and iPad have stopped syncing with my laptop mail, so despite having answered/deleted emails on the laptop they’re all still sitting as unread on my other devices. Very irritating. It’s happened before but can I remember whatever adjustments I made to various settings to sort it out? Obviously not! Tried a whole range of things whilst I ate lunch then gave up and headed into more meetings in the afternoon...kicked off our planning meeting then had to ‘head off’ to quite interesting discussion on longer term builds and priorities. Food for thought. When the focus is on big bold ideas how do you press home the need for effective basics and the power of good enough?!
Nipped out to collect V and did a bit of shopping with her as I’d seen planters that she wanted for her garden but she needed the car to get to the shop, then she dropped me home as she’s going to her brother’s this weekend then having next week off.
In the evening I put some candles in the window...chose 8 since although we’re all marking a year since the first lockdown started I was also remembering 8 years ago when it was Mt&H’s wedding (extra). Bronze anniversary already...my, how time flies!
