Disused railway bridge

Friend R visited today. We went for another walk around the area. Initially we thought we would walk up the Fell that overlooks my house, but decided against that as we could see it was quite windy up there. Just as well, Sedbergh School were running that route today. So we went to investigate a disused Viaduct. As you can see it’s very dilapidated. It’s a shame they don’t open these old railway lines for walkers. We had a nice day and ate our lunch looking out over the confluence of the Rawthey and the Dee in the intermittent sunshine.
