Stripy Tree Pollinator

It was lovely to hear the deep bass drone of the bumblebees - they were certainly doing their best to out-do all the birds volume-wise! 

I'm quite pleased with this as it was taken at the long end of my 70-300mm lens rather than my macro. The branches with catkins were all well above head height but this bee obliged by briefly visiting one of the lower branches.
