Insta fame

I was in town this morning passing through the quarter where we began married life back in the day. A small cobbled side street back then has now become a global selfie location. It’s popularity with “influencers” (some even with pro music and lighting rigs) has made life there for the owners almost unbearable.

My blip shows one of Portobello’s own selfie locations. This seasoned redwood groyne is photogenic and especially in this afternoon’s slippery light. When tourists return, as lockdown restrictions are lifted, it would be rare to find it without posers festooned over it desperate to get that multi viewed/liked shot!
