Spring is here!

Another warm day with temperatures around 8°C and the sun shining most of the day. The ice on our path is melting fast and the roads are mostly dry and clear. We were out again today wearing indoor clothes and a thin jacket, no hat or gloves required.
I pumped up the tyres and charged the battery on my e-bike. There wasn't time for a trip out today but maybe tomorrow I take the first cycle trip of the year.
Nature is also showing signs that spring has arrived. We saw our first Northern Lapwing (topsvipa in Swedish) today. Since they forage in fields it seemed a little early with all the fields still covered in snow. However, they seem to know when to be here because invariably the soggy dead grass starts to appear a few days after the first lapwings arrive. We've been seeing newly arrived swans for a few days now but today was the first day they were on "our" lake.  There is a small patch of open water, maybe 4 meters wide, otherwise the whole lake is still frozen. They were sitting in that small patch of water but as we came along they climbed out onto the ice and walked away.  Are they a family, a mother and two youngsters from last year?  I'm no expert.
Spring is also here according to the meteorologists. We've had average daily temperatures over 0°C for 7 days in a row, which means spring has arrived, weather wise.
