We had a day trip to the top of the Coromandel Peninsula in the car which was mainly over gravel roads along the coast. A beautiful drive but a bit intrepid. We had to cross a few fords. This was the deepest heading towards Fletcher’s Bay. We watched these cyclists negotiate it without any trouble.
