Finding myself inside a cave!

I'm reading this book, The First Signs, by Genevieve Von Petzinger, an archaeologist....it's totally enthralling...all about the first cave paintings, dating back 200,000 years ago...and more!   I'm so captivated with the idea that so many thousands of years ago, people felt the need to communicate thro signs and images!   If you are at all interested in such subjects i'd highly recommend this book, reads more like a novel than a factual account of archaeology.

So after leaving off this painting yesterday...with such an unusual step for me...covering the whole thing in very dark paint...then scraping thro....i felt like i was dealing with a cave like environment...with spots of light poking thro....so i kinda let myself just go with this idea...without forcing the concept .... which just doesn't work ever!!!

anyway, i'm being more careful this time...and i'll leave it here for a few days!

Another warm day - spent mostly in the studio!  Not to shabby that's for sure!
