Down the hatch....

A lorry in with 20 tons of cow rolls at 6.30 am. Had him emptied and away by 7.30 then cattle fed and away to St Boswells with 4 blks for today's store sale. A quick lunch from the canteen take away then back up the road .
Had to get the vet out to bandage up a beast that had cut its leg. Unfortunately his car had a knackered gear box so he was in a stand by pick up. And most of his gear was still in the car so he couldn't find any bandages. Managed to make do and mend after a trawl round all the first aid kits on the farm using some triangular bandages and a roll of black gaffer tape. He gave it some antibiotics and will come back tomorrow and do a proper job if required.
Then had to bruise a batch of cattle feed but the bin of barley ran out so had to climb in and start shoveling. Getting too old for this carry on !
Then rigged up the power washer to wash out the fertilizer spreader that should have been done yesterday . Had it done and in for tea by 8 pm just as it started raining, so well timed.
