I needed to photograph this mosaic, before it goes to its new owner. So I'm offering it as a cheeky lazy blip before we lose the sun for a few days. The hours spent drinking coffee and gazing at pots have been fruitful ones :-)

Bit of mosaic information.

There's five different colours of gold tiles in this. A little gold goes a long way as it sings in the light. All the background is plain ceramic tile to put the emphasis on the pot, cake and cup. The arches in the background are inspired by the canal tunnels in Marple where we rented until we found our place here. The three shades of grout are there to add perspective, that was a fiddly faff I can tell you. On the whole though I love this, and will make it again bigger and better.
