Birds in nature

I mentioned a while ago that I signed up for a Birds in Nature painting class and the goal was to develop a more detailed composition relating to what the birds habits are.  So I chose red-winged blackbirds and did a happy little watercolor that I liked.  But then I thought to get more serious about this and did it again in pastel.  I'm not thrilled with it, but there's also something appealing about it, so I thought I'd share.  Hope you like it.
