Ar lan y môr
Ar lan y môr ~ Beside the sea

Doedden ni ddim wedi gweld ein hathrawon - Ngak'chang Rinpoche a Khandro Déchen - yn bersonol ers misoedd, felly roedden ni'n falch i gael cyfle ymweld â nhw ar y traeth ym Mhenarth. Dechreuodd y dydd yn wlyb ac roedden ni'n meddwl y byddai'n anodd cwrdd yn yr awyr agored, ond daeth y tywydd yn fwy disglair fel cerddon ni i'r orsaf yn Llandaf. O Orsaf Penarth cerddon ni i lawr y 'Dolly Steps' trwy'r 'Dingle' ac yn cwrdd gydag ein hathrawon ym Mharc Alexandra. Cerddon ni gyda'n gilydd i lan y môr ac ar hyd y pier ac i lawr i'r traeth. Roedd cyfle i siarad am lawer o bethau - natur, llyfrau, ffotograffiaeth, y celfyddydau, ac hefyd datblygiad o'n canolfan enciliad Drala Jong yn Orllewin Cymru. Ar ddiwedd ein hymweliad aethon ni am baned a chacennau Cymreig ar y promenâd. Roedd diwrnod ysblennydd ac rydyn ni'n gobeithio na fydd hi'n fisoedd cyn i ni gwrdd eto.

We hadn't seen our teachers - Ngak'chang Rinpoche and Khandro Déchen - in person for months, so we were glad to have the opportunity to visit them on the beach in Penarth. The day started out wet and we thought it would be difficult to meet outdoors, but the weather got brighter as we walked to Llandaff station. From Penarth Station we walked down the 'Dolly Steps' through the 'Dingle' and met our teachers at Alexandra Park. We walked together to the seaside and along the pier and down to the beach. It was an opportunity to talk about many things - nature, books, photography, the arts, and also the development from our retreat center Drala Jong in West Wales. At the end of our visit we went for a cup of tea and Welsh cakes on the promenade. It was a splendid day and we hope it won't be months before we meet again.
