..on the British Empire. This was said in Queen Victoria's reign, when the 'Crystal Palace' housed the Great Exhibition in 1851. The building, later transferred to South London, burned down in 1936. This structure, which copies the original framework, stands at the corner of the site in Crystal Palace.
