Garden of Eden

The view from our trail camera (hence the poor quality) at about 6.30 this morning, i.e. about half an hour before we get up.  It's like animal play time!

The state of the "lawn" is due to the hen pheasants who are scratching at it, presumably for food, a bit like chickens do, but also because they are trying to excavate holes as nesting sites.  The muntjac and hare seems to find the excavations fascinating, though I am less pleased.  We'll catch them all by surprise on Sunday morning after the clocks have gone forward :-)
