Portsea vagrant wards

These wards were built in 1881 as an addition to the main workhouse which had opened in 1846. The main site later became St Mary's hospital. The old buildings of that site have since  been converted  into private residential accommodation. The building pictured is used today by the Two Saints charity  for homeless people. The extras show detail of the building.
