Garden Beauties
My 'Seek' app identifies the flower on the left as a 'South American Amaryllis'. Another Plant ID app claims that it's a Hippeastrum hybridum. It just recently popped up in our front yard. And although it's surrounded by many other Amaryllis it definitely stands out! It's flowers are as large in diameter as my spread out hand. Sadly I have no memory of where I got it, but you can bet that I'll be working to obtain seeds from it! The Butterfly on the Bottlebrush bloom is an Orange-barred Sulphur. Several other Sulphur butterflies are common here, but this one is unusual.
