Friday: Thousand Headed Kale

After some very welcome heavy rain showers overnight we had a dry and breezy day.
MrD had a long day of deliveries.
Nice FaceTime with our youngest member of the family and her Mam this morning xx
I started off an assortment of sunflower seeds, lobelia and mixed lettuce. Again used the front door step for filling tray, southerly wind made greenhouse too dangerous.
Had garden salad with my lunch, added a few skirret leaves and a couple of young leaves of Alexanders (Smyrnium olusatrum) which were ok.
Noticed that the Thousand Headed Kale is making lots of new growth so picked a handful which I added to fusilli and courgette, dollop of Hellman’s and sprinkle of grated cheddar made a delicious (& quick) dinner!
