After recent flooding, huge amounts of organic matter have washed out into the sea. The sea has become the colour of weak black coffee and the action of the waves has produced a frothy head that would please any barista.

Enzo still swam but needed a bath afterwards. He seems to take having a bath in his stride now, something he didn’t like as a pup. I guess all the beach showers have desensitised him.

We’re nearly home now, it’s been an interesting month. The experience of being cut off by floodwater for a week was a new one! Luckily we were in a well elevated spot at the time. It just happened to be a town with a single access road that became cut with floodwater. The mental test of spending a week inside a motorhome was interesting.

Our next plan is staying home until everyone’s vaccinated. Community cases are now nearly nonexistent in Australia, but we continue to get cases in people returning from overseas. Vaccination roll out is supposed to be completed over the next 5 months. After which a big trip may be in order.

Meanwhile Enzo will be happy to go to his own beach every morning!
