Spanish Mission Garage, St Peters

This heritage listed building is a blend of inter-war Spanish mission and federation Anglo Dutch styles. It began operating as a garage in 1930. I wonder about the significance of the words on the blue netting, 'Taking our past into the future' and 'Rich heritage living'. More residential units? Not a prime location.

A photo of the building is featured on the cover of local songster John Kennedy's album, Miracle in Marrickville. At that time it operated as the Dynamo Auto Electrician.
