Stephen and Diane

Former Nurses, Stephen and Diane have been our friends for many years; we had adjacent plots on allotments. They are from Yorkshire, we understand and make small allowances. 

Once again I was surprised by a discovery this morning. Stephen went into hospital 2 years ago, was examined, scanned and told in no uncertain terms to dial 999 if the doc could not immediately get him into St Bartholomew’s or Derriford, Plymouth within a few days. Middle of the night, pain, blues and twos to Derriford. 

New aorta, valve, filters, oil change, magnetic plugs and two furry dice later he was out in 10 days and has recovered mightily! Success for our brilliant medical staff, this sort of recovery must make them fill with pride. There is another feature, you may not pick up on it. Stephen was, remains, a very private person. He would not have done this two or three years ago. I think he may have learned to relax. I hope so, they are such a lovely couple.
