Not expeditious

We’ve got Expedia flogging holidays and cheap fares, whilst the government threatens to slap big fines on us for going on holiday. You couldn’t make up the confusion between business interests and public health considerations. And if you did, it wouldn’t be very interesting.

I think today was the most hopeless I’ve felt over the last year, with visa limbo dragging on. Luckily the marvellous Michelle was on hand for distraction. She has the patience of a saint. I was also cheered by the introduction to a new HR colleague as we’re boosting our resources at long last. It means we’re less likely to throw people into the sort of uncertain visa / employment / living situation that I’ve been in.

This bit of art in a window close to the river feels very apt.
