Oldway Mansion
This magnificent mansion is owned by the Council, but they have no funds to maintain it. It was built for the Singer (sewing machine) family. It has a long and interesting history, and was a hospital throughout World War One. Most days I walk through the grounds. The gardens are maintained by a large number of volunteers, who have continued working. I am thinking of joining them when restrictions are fully eased and I have had jab number two. The building needs a great deal of money spending on it but very soon a volunteer run tea rooms will open on the ground floor with a separate entrance
