Bench

This is a bench in the back garden. 

The bench is dual-purpose. The little padlock hints that the seat can be lifted to reveal some storage.  When we moved here, we left behind a long garden and a shed full of gardening tools because this house only has a small patch of decking,  Even though we’re spending money on it now to get the fence repaired, this small space is much easier to maintain than the old garden. But we still have a few things that you want in an outdoor space: potting compost, unused flower pots, seeds, bird food and barbecue coals.  Nothing abnormal but it needs a place and this as been home to all those kinds of items. There’s also a car boot protector - the sort of big plastic sheet that you pop into the back of the car to protect it from dirt when carrying gardening items. We just don’t have the car anymore.  

I think the bench needs a wash.
