Back in February we went on a long walk of historic Raynes Park. We passed this location on that walk. It's the former home of Merton Park Studios and, again today, we walked passed this commemorative sign.

It's one of the most interesting places around here. Today, it's a tax office, that, over the time we have lived here, we have often walked past and never registered. In all the years we have walked past these building I never noticed the BFI plaque outside.  Supposedly, a lot of war-time propaganda films were produced here and the first Carry On film, Carry On Sergeant (1958), was shot here - although we’ve not been able to find it on a streaming service. The Wikipedia page also notes that for a time it was the base of Radio Luxembourg
