Breach Birth

Year 2 Day 4 of UK COVID-19 Pandemic.  First UK Vaccine 110 days ago. England in lockdown. Wales partial lockdown.

The best of two days this weekend, we decided to get a walk in before the forecasted rain tomorrow. I chose a walk from Foy Church, nr Ross on Wye (Herefordshire) to How Caple, Sellack, Strangford, and back to the start; a total of 9 miles. (Details here )

At Strangford we stopped to talk to a farmer, Chris, for some forty five minutes. A really lovely bloke. We got on so well he invited us into his barn to watch a lamb being born. A breach birth, Chris pulled it out by the legs as the blipfoto shows. The mother had just had two and this was the final one. The blipfoto shows mum and the newborns. The extra is Chris checking over the newborn watched by Mrs BB.

Chris told us next time we're passing to knock his window and pop in for a cuppa. I think I'll take up his offer. With six grown up children it's a wonder he found time to fit in farming!
