I picked up this little fallen twig on our walk yesterday because I liked the textures and colours.   The catkins were quite tight but overnight they have relaxed a lot and I think it is even prettier now.   I don't know what tree it's from. perhaps someone could enlighten me please.
A fine day today but the wind, although from the southeast, has made it feel quite cold.
