Off we go again!

My first trip out on the e-bike this year, about a week later than last year. I did our 12 km circuit, passing by the local shop. On the tarmac road it was lovely but the gravel surfaced section was very soft and wet and both me and the bike were fairly well splattered with mud!
During the winter I started to look at the battery that had stopped working and been replaced under guarantee. Once I managed to get into the dead battery, for which I needed to buy some specialist screwdrivers, I found a way to charge it. It's not a brilliant solution, having to half dismantle the battery to charge it but it means it can be used as a spare, and that it can be stored charged, which is technically much better.
It felt lovely to be out on the bike, finding the balance between working with my muscles and letting the motor take a little of the strain.
Later in the day we drove into town and went for a walk with Ruth (see extra), before heading to Rose's where she'd cooked an excellent beef curry, and a delicious fruit cake to go with the icecream we provided. What a good day it has been, spent with good friends, and largely outside.
