Coltsfoot
I noticed weeds* in a neighbour’s front garden (no fence divides us), And I recognised what they must be from a recent blip by Pleach. Blipfoto can be a learning experience.
Further research (OK, google) reveals that coltsfoot was (and still is by some) used historically as a cough remedy. Although the leaves contain toxins which can cause liver damage. To be used with a great deal of caution, and for me - not at all. I prefer to enjoy the early Spring flower., and go no further.
* a weed is just an unloved plant. Although on close inspection, it’s rather attractive, and beneficial to early pollinators.,
