Aberteifi animals
Celebrated today's freedom to travel (in Wales) with a trip to Cardigan/Aberteifi all of 15 miles away, to buy some seed potatoes and have a take-way coffee before walking the path across the Teifi Marshes Wetland Reserve.
At the start where the route out of town hugs the river, the fencing around a builders merchant has been painted with a splendid sequence of animals to be seen in the vicinity starting with this sewin (sea trout) and followed by cormorant, water buffalo (seasonal visitors used to clear the marsh waterways), swan, otter, heron, sheep and cow. The whole thing is best seen from the other side of the river.
