Great Blue

I came across this heron as I was walking with a friend on a new hiking trail (new to me).  I had almost left my camera at home, thinking that we would be so busy talking that I wouldn't notice anything anyway...but this was hard to miss as it was very close to the trail and I was grateful not to have to resort to my iPhone which wouldn't have done it justice. 

We managed to get in 4 miles, and I got a blip as well.
